Overview:
The Waterberg mine, situated in the Limpopo province of South Africa, will be a fully mechanised, shallow, decline-accessed operation and is set to become one of the largest and lowest Cash Cost underground PGM mines globally. A Definitive Feasibility Study for the Waterberg mine was successfully completed in October 2019, with Practara responsible for the development of the NI43-101 code-compliant Valuation Model and life of mine Operating Cost estimate.
Scope of Work:

Developed a dynamic techno-economic valuation model.

Performed detailed sensitivity and scenario analyses to gauge the investment risk of the project.

Utilising a combination of cost estimation methods, developed the life of mine operating cost model for the Project.

Performed a mine section analysis to determine the profitability per mining area.

Provided the necessary code-compliant valuation and cost estimate inputs to the NI43-101 report.
